His legacy when he finally finishes the game would be to tell all the youngsters to just go out and express yourself on the biggest of stages.
The greatness of Mahendra singh dhoni lies in the belief of each and every Indian cricket fan that if Dhoni is their till the end, no matter what the situation is India will win the match. This reputation can be earned only if you do what Dhoni had done through out his career. finishing the match.

This is the essence of life and Dhoni has made the most out of it by always focusing on the process which enabled him to master these virtues:
-Detachment from the outcome despite its nature.
-Being able to treat both highs and lows in just the same manner.
Dhoni has showed us how to practice these qualities over the years.
Many captains might come, many players might score more runs than him but as a pioneer wicket keeper who established himself as a solid batsman his career would remain as a special chapter in Indian cricket and he would go down in history as one of the greatest captains in world cricket.
